Solvent Purification System
Hengmaoli follows international standards (Organometallics
1996, 15, 1518-1520) to designs and manufacturers the solvent purification system. It is used to replace the thermal distillation apparatus which is dangerous
nowadays in the laboratory.
The solvent purification system provides a
nonhazardous alternatives to distillations and does not require any heating.
It allow rapid collection of large quantities of extremely pure solvents on
demand. Solvents are rigorously degassed in 20L reservoirs and passed
through two sequential purification columns. Protic contaminants are
removed with activated alumina, while a copper catalyst is used to remove trace
oxygen from hydrocarbons. The purification system is interfaced with
Schlenk manifold for the anhydrous/anaerobic collection of solvents.
Solvents purified by this method and tested with stock solutions of sodium
benzophenone ketyl or titanocene dichloride/zinc dust are free of
oxygen/moisture at least to the ppm level. To know its purification result, click
